Votive Candle

These beeswax votives are lovingly hand-poured, one candle at a time.

Votive candles are meant to be burned in devotion to something/someone. What/who are you devoted to? These candles are an invitation to find out.

They are an offering of warmth and light to what’s holy. Beeswax is a precious substance! Worker bees extrude beeswax as they eat honey, in order to construct their honeycomb and nurseries. It takes an average of 6-8 lbs. of honey (30 million flowers) to create 1 lb. of beeswax. (equivalent to 7 10” tapers). All Beheld Ritual Arts candles are made with single-sourced beeswax from a small local apiary here in Western North Carolina. Many thanks to the bees and their keepers!

Burning beeswax candles can benefit your body and spirit. They are able to clear the air of airborne allergens, as they emit negative ions. Firelight is on a similar spectrum as sunlight, and can bring some balance to the dark nights of winter.

These candles are poured with intention and care, to be burned in the same way. May they bring beauty and focus to your own ritual space, or coziness and a sense of safety to your home.

These candles are designed to be burned in a votive holder, for the most efficient burn (12-15 hr burn time).
